A full Alaskan breakfast is prepared and served in the dining room from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. A continental breakfast is available earlier in the guest lounge.

Salmon HAUS is inspected by the B&B Association. We are proud to be members of the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, Kenai Peninsula Bed & Breakfast Association, Kenai River Sportfishing Association, and the Cook Inlet Public Fisheries Council. Bill Wirin is a member of Rotary International, meeting Thursdays at noon.

Please check in between 1:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. If travel arrangements necessitate earlier or later check in, please call. Check out by 10:00 a.m. unless special arrangements are made.

Because we have a limited number of guests, everyone can get acquainted in the lounge, sharing your day's fishing or sightseeing adventures.

The lounge is equipped with a mini-fridge, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and dishes.

For the enjoyment of all guests, smoking is not permitted inside the lodge. A smoking deck is provided outside where you can sit and watch the river or barbecue.

Combination package fishing trips consist of 3/4 or full day and include lunch. Trips may be for King Salmon (Chinook), Red Salmon (Sockeye), Silver Salmon (Coho), Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, or Halibut. Areas fished are the Kenai River (Upper/Middle/Lower), Kasilof River (Upper/Lower), and Halibut fishing from Homer. Flyouts to "fish with the bears", etc., necessitate a surcharge due to high aviation fuel costs.

As members of Kenai River Sportsfishing Association we have access to the top independent guides. Guided fishing includes expert licensed guides, rods, reels, tackle and bait. Guides use powerboats as well as quiet drift boats. Many of these trips are extraordinarily scenic.

A non-resident fishing licenses range from $20 - $55 depending on your length of stay. Kind Salmon stamps range from $10 to $30.

A 50% deposit per person is required to confirm reservations with the balance, plus 6% city tax, due upon arrival. Our policy requires 30-days notice for refund of deposit. With less than 30-day notice, refunds will be given only if the vacancy is filled, which is usually not a problem in July. We cannot give partial refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
